eDocPro can employ a simple Workflow document file folder option to provide a personal reminder system for individual workflow users. You may already be familiar with the "43 folders" tickler-file system or you might be interested in the more simplified "16 folders" tickler-file system.

When a user wants to postpone action or set-up a follow-up action on a document, the user can simply select a <Reminders> menu command option.  The user can select any month of the year for a follow-up action.  The user also has the option of saving documents to separate network folders for each week of the current month.  A separate <Reminders> system is maintained by each user.  Here's a screenshot of the "16 folders" <Reminders> menu command option:
